On Monday, May 10th, all nominees delivered their speeches to students from the 8th to the 11th grade. Each candidate had three minutes to present their ideas and to try to persuade students to vote for them. After the speeches, I had the opportunity to interview Mrs. Pham Minh An, Director of Dream House Schools and Dr. Le Phuoc Hung, President of the Olympia Schools.

The campaign for The Olympia School’s first Student Government Organization – SGO officially started on Tuesday, May 4th, 2010; however, the competition for votes had actually begun two weeks prior to that date, when the nominees were publicly announced. The Primary Election will be held on May 11th, and four positions in the SGO will eventually be elected in the Official Election on May 18th. Students from the 8th grade to 11th grade have known the candidates, but for those who haven’t been following the news of the campaign closely, the below table will provide you with the names of all nominees.
